Maybe not the past
I'm slowly renovating
Everything I knew would not last
Don't tell me I'm not going to make it
You can't even tell for yourself
As long as I keep on moving
Life's waves will be sure to tell
I know it's been a string of events
Big and small
Big and small
So steady
Yet so patient
With each fall
And each crawl
I take steps
And I trip
I climb mountains
And oceans drip
From my sweater
From my sleeve
Through the south and through the east
I've been traveling
And I've been pursuing
And I will not stop
Until I've completed
Each task
I've chosen
Each path
Into the dozen
Various ways I may go
I cannot change the past
But I can change my present
I can brighten my future
With all of these valuable lessons
That's why they call this
The solid web
